The process to train a firm’s workforce is structured in accordance with the overall goal of the firm, and includes program and methods to maximize employees’ productivity. Some of the most common process of employee training is as follows:
1.      Forming a Separate Organization/ Area for continuous training of important programs - a process common among big multinational firms.
2.      Training within the workplace during work hours, where you train a newcomer with an experienced manager/employee of the firm to develop and guide the new employee with the process and work stages.

3.      Training in the Career centers – This is a costly method but can give maximum benefits. Here a firm sends its employees to specialized career development schools for training in various programs, or for the development of a specific know-how/ technology that are used within the firm, or if there is a need for future projects.

Employee development is an important implementation to enhance the knowledge and full capacity of once workforce. It increases their talent that can help and contribute to the overall achievement of the main goal of the company. Such process can be of individual type or group type, performed in the office or career centers, focusing on the core of development. The skills that are developed can be of general in nature or can be of highly important & specialized skills.

Growth opportunities should be offered to all the employees as it not only improves the work efficiency of the individual but also increases the flexibility and ease in management. As the employee morale is boosted, it helps in the overall development of the organization, and the enhancement in the new knowledge and skills helps increase the turnover and productivity of the company. The implementation of the career development concepts contains few processes like the increase in continuous or flexible training, forming groups of experienced and non-experienced workforce, etc.

Employee development can be in-house development or can be done from outside consultancy – like career development centers. A proper employee training and development depends on the type of organization, what functions they have, processes involved, employees position or duties, new challenges that are involve, future goals of the company, etc. A good training aims to bring down the variances between the Organization goal, and Individual goal of the employee.

Both In-House as well as outside career development centers can achieve the goals. But it depends on how much time the firm has to train its employees or what kind of training is needed for the employee. A Specific & Specialized course can be trained better with the help of  outside consultancies. But it should be noted that the final result will depend on the employee itself. He or she should have the desire to learn and become expert for the training that they are going for.
